BRM400 South

Most free time during the last week has been spent preparing for the 400, and 200, kilometer brevets coming up. I plan to do the 400.

We have the route, the cue sheet (in Swedish) and various tidbits of information and encouragement in Hisingens Cykelklubb’s forum.

I’ll be taking my Surly Crosscheck. It’s going to be perfect weather, so I really won’t need the mudguards, but I’m too lazy to set up one of my plastic bikes. We’ll be cycling well into the night and I’ll need lights and a small bag for warm clothes around midnight or so.

The route goes down the coast to Halmstad and then swings east along a very beautiful part of Halland. Then it continues north to Svenljunga and Borås where it turns back west for home.

The weather looks ideal, but 400 km is still 400 km. I need to plan my food carefully so that I don’t run out of energy in the middle of night, in the middle of nowhere.
